Representatives from Prophix were honored to attend the 2012 Microsoft IMPACT Awards gala at the all-new Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto on Tuesday, November 13th. With high hopes of defending the title of ISV / Software Solutions Industry Partner of the Year, Prophix sent three team members: Channel Manager, John Pepelnak; Communications Specialist, Mark Behar; and Chief Operating Officer, Ed Karthaus.
After the attendees mingled and sampled hors d’oeuvres, the night’s festivities began with a bang as host Sean Cullen (a local comedian and the former front man of Corky & the Juice Pigs) took to the stage with a flurry. Interacting with the crowd and invoking wordplay on the ‘partner’ theme, Cullen introduced the CEO of Microsoft Canada, Max Long. A polished speaker in his own right, Long spoke about the importance of Microsoft’s partner relationships, and stressed the value of innovation—particularly with the coming introduction of the Windows 8 platform.

Nonetheless, members of the Prophix team appreciated their designation as finalists and the invitation to attend the awards ceremony. According to COO Ed Karthaus, with an impressive run of success, Prophix hopes to appear on stage with an award in hand next year. “As the creators of the only CPM solution that fully integrates with all of SQL Server, Microsoft Dynamics, and SharePoint, we feel great about where we’re headed. Our relationship with Microsoft has played a key role in getting us to where we are today, helping customers to solve their business problems in more than 100 countries throughout the world.” For a full list of finalists and winners visit the Microsoft Partner Network website.
