Alok AjmeraProphix is an awesome place to work – I would know, I’m coming up on 15 years. It’s been incredible to watch Prophix grow and expand internationally. Part of our growth has been how we have grown is through our continuous journey to improve, to get better and do better, as an organization and as human beings.
Each year, the Prophix team takes on a few challenges to make the holidays a little more special for people in need. I’m proud of how we are able to come together as a community to help others. I also love how we get competitive to beat ourselves year over year!

Here are some highlights from this year’s effort:
Christmas Assistance Program at the Salvation Army’s Mississauga Community and Family Services
- 228 turkeys donated and delivered, one for each of our employees
- 29 employees spent the day sorting, packing and delivering toys to less fortunate families with children
- Our team helped 337 children that day!
Peel Region Children’s Aid Society – Project Angel Tree
Each year at Prophix HQ, we host an Angel Tree Toy Drive to ensure local children & youth in need receive a special holiday gift.
We surpassed our goal of 106 wishes and fulfilled 134!
Our donation included:
- 52 gift cards valued at $25 each ($1,300)
- 26 board games
- 30 winter clothing items
- 26 baby items
UK Food Bank
The UK team spent time volunteering at ReadiFood, an independent food bank. They helped in the warehouse sorting food donations from local supermarkets, businesses and schools. Some of the team also made deliveries to those in need around the local area.
At this time of the year, where most of us are lucky enough to have all that we need, it’s nice to take a moment to consider those who are less fortunate.
